Harry Vafias-led Stealthgas has celebrated a triple whammy at the Hyundai Mipo shipyard in South Korea, taking delivery of three LPG newbuildings in one ceremony.
The company held a joint naming ceremony for the three 22,000m³ ammonia and VCM carriers, Eco Frost, Eco Arctic and Eco Ice. The newbuildings are built to ice-class 1B and have been fitted with exhaust scrubbers. All three are classed by Lloyd’s Register.
Stealthgas will take delivery of a fourth Hyundai Mipo newbuilding in the first quarter of next year.
The company also operates the world’s largest fleet of small, fully pressurised gas carriers. That fleet comprises 51 FP vessels in the 3,500m³-8,000m³ size range.
